Semax 10MG Research Overview
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide built from the ACTH(4–7) fragment, Met-Glu-His-Phe, extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail that protects it from rapid enzymatic breakdown. It was developed in Russia and has an extensive published research record. Semax 10MG is supplied for qualified in-vitro laboratory research and analytical use only.
Compound profile
- Compound class: Synthetic heptapeptide (ACTH 4–7 analog)
- Sequence: Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro (MEHFPGP)
- Molecular weight: ≈ 813.9 g/mol
- CAS number: 80714-61-0
- Form: Lyophilized powder in a sealed vial
- Testing: Third-party HPLC purity and identity, batch-matched COA
Research context
Semax research focuses on neurotrophic signaling — particularly brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and its TrkB receptor — along with gene-expression changes in neuroplasticity, ischemia and cognition-related laboratory models. Unlike full-length ACTH, it is studied without corticotropic (adrenal-stimulating) activity. It is commonly paired with Selank in neuropeptide research.
Storage and handling
Store unopened lyophilized vials sealed and protected from light — at −20 °C for long-term storage, or 2–8 °C for short-term use. Once reconstituted, keep refrigerated at 2–8 °C, minimize freeze–thaw cycles and rely on your laboratory’s own validated stability data.
Quality and documentation
Every lot is third-party tested, and the Certificate of Analysis is matched to the exact batch you receive — look it up any time on the COA page. Browse more Neurological & Cognitive Research, or see related compounds: Selank 10MG, Selank / Semax, ADAMAX.
